Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel shocked her fans yesterday when she announced her exit from the hit Bravo show. Bethenny is one of the original housewives. Although she took a few seasons off for various reasons. However, she always was a part of the RHONY family. Now the reality tv star abruptly quits the show that made her a household name. The news blindsided her fans, castmates, as well as the powers that be at Bravo. Here’s what we know about Bethenny’s exit and what it means for the other housewives.

Real Housewives of New York: It’s A Wrap For Bethenny Frankel

RHONY star Bethenny Frankel was an original cast member of the show when it debuted back in 2008.  After a rift with then castmate Jill Zarin, Bethenny exited during season 3. However, later returned for season 7 and has been a fan favorite since. But now after season 11, the Bravolebrity decided it’s a wrap for her as a housewife.

Bethenny’s grateful for her time with RHONY. She went from a broke single woman to married entrepreneur to single mom running her own multi-million dollar Skinnygirl brand. However, Frankel is ready for her next chapter. Bethenny sites her daughter Brynn as the main reason for her decision to leave. She wants to spend her time being a mom and also doing philanthropical work. Additionally, Bethenny did make the remark that she no longer needed the paycheck from the show to make ends meet. But don’t worry RHONY fans, we will see plenty of Ms. B. She may be off the show but she’s got other projects that are less time consuming that bring her joy.

I wanted to take a moment to write a personal note to you. I am so grateful to you for sticking with me through everything. You started this journey with me in my tiny apartment in my late 30s, wondering what would happen to me. I was broke, single, had no family and no idea what the future held. I had big dreams and I never stopped, but I honestly didn’t know if I would ever get here. You helped me to get here. I would read your letters and messages and grow from your struggles. You would give me your honest opinion about my products and projects and helpful advice about divorce, relationships, motherhood, miscarriages, health, and surviving the death of a loved one and almost my own. You have shared your ideas with me and I have been inspired by and learned from you. I am fortunate to have created a business and career that some people only dream of. I had a beautiful baby girl who is now 9 years old, and she has changed me as a human being. I was able to give back and help people all over the world who have been hit with the worst of unforeseen circumstances, which we will all continue together. GO for it. Whatever it is. Reach for your dreams in life and love and make the impossible happen, because it can happen and it WILL happen. Come from a place of yes and it’s yours for the taking. Thank you so much for your love and support. And stay tuned, you haven’t seen the last of me. There are many amazing things to come. I love you all and am so lucky to have you in my life! PS: New York City is still my playground. . ♥️xo♥️ . B

RHONY: Castmembers Blindsided

Bethenny’s announcement came just days before the cast usually starts filming. So, of course, the news came as a surprise to her costars. They were very much blindsided. However, Ramona Singer seems to have taken the news the worst.  She’s quoted as saying, “What? She couldn’t even send a text? She couldn’t let me know? ” Then she went on to say, “She just doesn’t support women. You would think that when she was making this decision, she would consider the affectation it would have on me.”. This is exactly what we have come to expect from Ramona Singer. She makes everything about herself.

However other castmates took the news in stride and wished the coworker and friend well. Although they are sad to see her go they only want the best for her. Even Andy Cohen wished her well by honoring her time with her time at RHONY with his Mozel Of The Day on his show Watch What Happens Live!.

Real Housewives of New York: What Next For Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel may not be on RHONY but she’ll still be quite busy. The business mogul will still run her SkinnyGirl brand and continue her relationship with TV shopping juggernaut HSN. Additionally, Bethenny will also be working with Mark Burnett producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. All these exciting changes for Bethenny. She also has a new man in her life. So, between, her family, her new boyfriend, charity work and her gig as a producer and her SkinnyGirl brand Bethenny will be quite the “Busy B”.
